The last weekend of the month of July was one memorable weekend for our under 17 boys.

The played against Transformation, a formidable side with considerably older and stronger players. Our lads were able to come out victorious, winning via a 2-1 scoreline.

Emmanuel Mushekwa will definitely remember this day as it was his birthday and he scored a birthday goal for LYFA.

The victory marked the end of the first leg of the league and so the next fixture for the under 17 boys will be the first of the return fixtures when they clash against Livingstone City Academy this coming weekend.

The under 15 girls had a scheduled league match against Golden Stars at LYFA’s home ground but the fixture did not take place. The opponents did not show up and so our girls won by way of walkover, bagging the three points and paying attention to the next fixture.

The girls are back to the drawing board trying to come up with a winning formula for their next encounter.
