Giving Young People the Power to Play

The Livingstone Youth Football Academy (LYFA) is a community development organisation using football to provide pathways out of poverty.

We identify and develop football talent in vulnerable young people in Zambia. We use football as a tool for development to tackle social issues that limit their full potential to become leaders of their generation.

We have engaged over 1,500 young people in a wide range of programmes from health education & HIV testing to literacy, coding, mentoring and support towards higher education and employment.

Our holistic approach ensures that our players are looked after on and off the pitch. We provide technical football coaching, nutritional support and access to healthcare for every single player.
